Behind the houseboat there is plenty of play for the children. From Grou you can reach the houseboat by ferry. A short distance from the ark is a parking space for your car. In the summer months it is pleasantly busy with tourists in the water sports village of Grou. There is a possibility to bring your own boat (renting a boat is also possible) and moor at the jetty at the ark. From your holiday home you can fully enjoy the water of the Pikmeer or explore the many picturesque villages in the area by bike. In the cozy village of Grou there are nice markets in the summer months. From this rustic town you can make a beautiful trip on a traditional Frisian Skutsje. The Frisian cities of Sneek and Leeuwarden (with some nice museums) are definitely worth a visit. Are you coming with your children ? Then don't forget the Chameleon Village in Terhorne. In Grou you will find a supermarket, bakery, butcher, pubs and restaurants with terraces, bank and a boat and bicycle rental.
